OCEP maintains a strict confidentiality policy on all personal data submitted by student applicants (“Applicants”) and admitted Co-op students (“Students”), and will not release such information to anyone without their prior consent.
Purpose of Collection of Personal Data
- Personal data submitted by Applicants will be used for the purpose of assisting Applicants to match them with Co-op Partners and assisting Co-op Partners to assess the suitability of candidates for a job vacancy.
- All information provided via the Portal will also be used for the University’s planning and statistical purposes.
- OCEP collects information about Applicants that is personally identifiable like name, address, email address, phone number and demographic information including nationality, age, and sex that is not otherwise publicly available.
Access
- Students are entitled to make a data access or correction request concerning their own personal data (subject to prior confirmation of identity) kept within the Portal. Alternatively, Students may edit or amend such personal data at any time by logging onto the Portal.
Changes in Privacy Policy
- OCEP reserves the right to update the Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”, including the Privacy Policy) anytime without prior notice. Employers and Co-op Partners are thus advised to periodically review the Terms.
